MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

mentorloop_new-Logo

User Agreement

Our mentorship initiative is designed to foster meaningful connections, facilitate knowledge exchange and drive professional growth within our community.

Please keep in mind that this program is strictly governed by the NAIFA Code of Ethics and our policies prohibiting the utilization of any NAIFA program or activity to recruit members to their companies or agencies. Click on the relevant links below for additional details.

Additionally, both mentors and mentees should recognize that they are entering into a commitment to one another and to NAIFA to dedicate the time and effort necessary to fully engage with their mentor/mentee to provide value to the relationship.

By participating in this program, both parties agree to:

  1. Adhere to the NAIFA Code of Ethics, Anti-Trust Compliance, and Policy on Recruiting and Association Activities (Anti-Proselytizing).
  2. Obtain the permission and support of the Mentee's manager to participate in the mentorship program, and make an introduction of the Mentor to the Mentee's manager.
  3. Read and utilize the elements of the recommended reading section to ensure that you are maximizing the opportunities for a successful mentoring relationship.
  4. Engage your mentor/mentee through the NAIFA Mentor Loop program so that NAIFA can monitor the relationship and ensure it is active and thriving.
  5. Report any issues, concerns or violations of policy to the Program Coordinator as soon as possible so that NAIFA can assist in addressing and correcting them.
  6. Keep private any information shared in confidence by your mentor/mentee and only use it to deepen your understanding and for your professional development.

Just like in life, not all matches will be successful or will last forever. If either party feels that the match is unsuccessful, or if you feel that the match has reached a place where all that can be gained from the relationship has been achieved, you can “close the loop” at any time without consequence. You can initiate this yourself or request assistance from the Program Coordinator. In doing so, please provide any relevant feedback, as well as if you would like to be rematched or prefer to exit the program.

Let us know if you have any questions or require any assistance during the course of your mentoring relationship. We are very excited to have you “In the Loop” and are here to help you in any way that we can.
